A Story God is Writing

We exist to equip churches to plant churches and this is the story of how that work has unfolded.

Planting a Church that Plants Churches

God stirred a small team of leaders to plant a church in Lubbock, Texas that would proclaim the gospel faithfully and send people boldly. In 2008, Redeemer Church of Lubbock launched with a vision that was never just about one church, but about churches planting churches.

The First Plant and Replant

Redeemer helped launch its first church plant in Pampa, Texas, and also stepped into its first church replant in Amarillo. These early steps marked the beginning of a broader commitment to both planting new churches and renewing existing ones.

Multiplication Begins

Redeemer Round Rock planted its first two churches, marking the network’s first second-generation plants. Churches that had once been planted were now planting churches themselves.

The Redeemer Network Forms

As churches were planted and relationships deepened, a formal network emerged in 2016 to strengthen, support, and multiply healthy churches together.

That same year, the Church Planting Residency launched to train and prepare future church planters.

A Shared Strategy

Churches began formally joining the Redeemer Network to pursue a shared strategy for planting churches together.

In the same year, the Catalyst Network was integrated into the Redeemer Network, bringing church planting, replanting, and revitalization under one unified mission.

A Multiplying Movement

Churches in the Redeemer Network have now planted and replanted more than 30 churches, including second- and third-generation plants, and have coached dozens of other congregations seeking renewal. Together we continue working toward one goal: equipping churches to plant churches so the gospel spreads.
